Does Vitabu submit tax invoices directly to TRA or KRA?
Not as a live connection today. Vitabu generates EFD-style fiscal receipt numbers and verification codes, and has a submission-queue workflow built to plug into a real government API — but it doesn't call TRA's or KRA's live systems yet. Confirm your business's actual filing obligations with your accountant or the relevant tax authority.
Can I configure my own tax rates?

Is this the same as eTIMS?
eTIMS is Kenya's electronic tax invoice system, run by KRA — not Tanzania's. Tanzania's TRA uses EFD (Electronic Fiscal Device) and, since 2020, the software-based VFD (Virtual Fiscal Device). Vitabu is built in the same shape as that Tanzanian system — receipt numbers, verification codes, a submission queue — so switching to a live government connection later won't mean rebuilding your workflow. It isn't a certified EFD/VFD integration today.
