A check-up is mostly looking and talking. Here is what to expect, so nothing is a surprise.
We ask before we look
We ask about your health, any medicines and what brought you in. Tell us about pain, bleeding gums or anything that worries you, however small.
Then we look
We check your teeth, gums, tongue and bite, usually with a small mirror and a gentle probe. We explain what we see as we go.
X-rays only when needed
An X-ray shows what a mirror cannot, such as decay between teeth. We take one only if it will change what we advise, and we use a low dose.
The plan
You leave with priorities, options and prices in writing. There is no pressure to decide on the day.
