About

A trust started to be accountable, and who runs it.

Started to be accountable.

Umoja was started so that a supporter could see, before giving, how a gift would divide and where the accounts were.

  • We publish the split before you give
  • We publish the audited accounts in full
  • We report what did not work
  • We ask communities before we plan

Sample story — replace it with your own. Umoja is fictional; we do not invent beneficiaries, statistics, registration numbers or partner logos.

Who runs it

Trustees
Meet quarterly, approve the budget and the accounts and keep a register of interests.
Staff
Run the programmes, keep the books and answer supporters.
Volunteers
Health volunteers, school committees and village pump caretakers.
