Two loans can quote the same monthly rate and still cost very different amounts. The difference is whether interest is charged on the balance you still owe, or on the full amount for the whole time.
Reducing balance
Each month, interest is worked out on what you still owe. As you repay, the balance falls, so the interest falls too. Your last payments are mostly principal.
Flat rate
Interest is worked out once, on the full amount, and spread over the loan. You pay interest on money you have already paid back. At the same percentage, it costs more.
How to check
Ask for the total you will repay, and compare it to the amount you borrow. The loan calculator on this website shows both, and what a flat rate would have cost.
